Any text you enter into the description box is a prompt. If you add a style, any keywords and negative keywords added by the style will also be part of the prompt. Once you press the “Create” button, the AI will generate artwork based on its understanding of the prompt.
Prompts don't need to be complicated. You can create artwork with a one-word prompt, such as “fox”. You can elaborate, “fox in a forest” or “fox in an open field under a starry sky”.
You can also expand on the artistic style, such as “fox, photo” or “fox, ink drawing”.
Describe what you want, how you want it, where you want it, followed by style information. For example:
Beautiful woman with flowers in her hair, wearing a red dress, standing in a forest, highly detailed, photo
The built-in styles are a good guide for style information, but they are there to be customized. If you’re looking for ideas, check out the keywords.
Not at all. Some people put design modifiers at the beginning and end of a prompt and put the subject in the middle. Some people prefer to prompt with natural language, describing the artwork as if they were having a conversation with the AI.
The prompting style I use is effective with SDXL and SD 1.5 models. It works with the MonAI styles. But it is not the only way to prompt.
Absolutely! Most of our models have a Wiki page, and that Wiki page has images that were made with that model, along with the prompts and other rendering data used to create the image.
