Qwen is a new and different kind of AI model. It is capable of creating inventive concepts that earlier models struggle with.

¶ Things to know about Qwen Lightning 8 Step:

1) Qwen works with natural language prompting.
You can write your prompts as full sentences or detailed phrases and Qwen will understand them. The Qwen image generator was built on the Qwen language model. This gives Qwen an advanced understanding of context and relationships.
¶ 2) Negative Prompts do work but usually aren't necessary.
Most styles include some negative prompts because most models benefit by them. In the case of Qwen, negative prompts like “ugly, deformed, disfigured” aren't necessary at all.
Instead, use the negative prompt space to remove things you've seen in an artwork and want to eliminate.

| Indiana Jones does not wear a scarf, so I added “scarf, necktie” to the negative prompt field, and that corrected the problem. I also added the fedora to the prompt. |

¶ 3) Qwen creates text beautifully.
For best results, use quotation marks around the words you want to include.

Amazingly, Qwen will often correct the capitalization and formatting. You can specify the location of the text, as well as the font, style, and color. If the text does not appear exactly as you want it, try a different seed or increase the guidance scale. |
¶ 4) The step count is locked at 8. The Guidance Scale range is 1 to 3.
¶ 5) Prompt Anatomy
The recommendation for writing an effective prompt for Qwen is:
Main Subject, Setting/Background, Visual Style/Artistic Medium, Lighting/Effects, “Text in quotes if any”
Qwen creates fantastic art regardless of your preferred prompting style. You can even use Danbooru tags and create great results.
¶ 6) Some artist names will influence the artwork style, but the influence is not as strong as you'd see with Stable Diffusion-based models.
